Election Integrity: Democrats Fear it By Voting Against the SAVE Act
The
Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act (HR 8281) is a significant piece of
legislation that was recently passed by the United States Congress by a vote of
221 in favor and 198 against, with the aim of protecting the integrity of the
American electoral system. This act seeks to ensure that only eligible citizens
are able to vote in elections, thereby safeguarding the democratic process from
potential fraud and abuse. The SAVE Act represents a crucial step towards
strengthening the security and reliability of the voting system in the United
States, and it has the potential to have a significant impact on the way
elections are conducted in the future.
One of the
key provisions of the SAVE Act is the requirement for individuals to provide
proof of citizenship in order to register to vote. This is a common-sense
measure that helps to prevent non-citizens from participating in elections and
diluting the votes of eligible voters. By mandating that individuals provide
documentation of their citizenship status, the SAVE Act helps to ensure that
only those who are legally entitled to vote are able to do so.
Another
important aspect of the SAVE Act is its emphasis on the verification of voter
information to prevent fraud. Under this legislation, states are required to
implement measures to verify the accuracy of voter registration information and
to regularly update their voter rolls. This helps to prevent instances of
duplicate registrations, deceased individuals remaining on the voter rolls, and
other forms of voter fraud that can undermine the integrity of the electoral
process.
In addition
to these measures, the SAVE Act also includes provisions aimed at improving the
security of the voting infrastructure. This includes requirements for states to
implement secure voting systems and procedures to protect against cyber threats
and other forms of interference. By investing in robust security measures, the
SAVE Act helps to safeguard the integrity of the voting process and ensure that
election results are reliable and trustworthy.
The passage
of the SAVE Act represents a significant victory for election integrity, as it provides a framework
for states to strengthen their voting systems and prevent fraud. By enacting
common-sense measures such as proof of citizenship requirements and voter
information verification, the SAVE Act helps to protect the rights of eligible
voters and ensure that their voices are not drowned out by fraudulent or
ineligible votes.
Despite the
importance of the SAVE Act in safeguarding American voter eligibility, some
critics have raised concerns about potential barriers to voter registration
that these requirements may create. They argue that requiring individuals to
provide documentation of their citizenship status could disproportionately
impact certain groups of voters, including low-income individuals, minority
communities, and young voters, who may face challenges in obtaining the
necessary documents. However, the SAVE Act maintain that these measures are
necessary to prevent fraud and protect the integrity of the electoral process.
In order to
address these concerns, the SAVE Act includes provisions for states to provide
assistance to individuals who may face challenges in meeting the proof of
citizenship requirements. This includes provisions for states to offer
alternative forms of documentation or support for individuals who may struggle
to obtain the necessary documents. By implementing these measures, the SAVE Act
helps to ensure that all eligible voters have the opportunity to participate in
elections and exercise their democratic rights.
Ironically,
not everyone is happy with this legislation, especially Democrat members of
Congress, who, one by one, rose to explain why having only American citizens
voting was Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) who stated requiring that only American
citizens vote "is designed to jam people up and prevent Americans from
voting." Seriously?
Democrat Rep. Terri Sewell (D-AL)argues that the SAVE bill requiring that only American citizens vote in the elections is “a dangerous, anti-democratic bill that has no place on this floor.”
Rep. Joseph Morelle (D-NY) opposed the Act requiring only American citizens vote because it is, "for them to lay the groundwork to undermine the outcome of [elections] until the republic crumbles."
Rep. Jennifer McClellan (D-VA) says requiring that only American citizens to vote in elections "is the 2024 version of the Jim Crow poll tax."
Rep.Delia Ramirez (D-IL) Requiring only American citizens vote is "a discriminatory rule rooted in fear and division."
All House Democrats, including the Connecticut delegation, voted against the SAVE Act except for these five:
Representative Henry Cuellar of Texas
- Representative Don Davis of North Carolina
- Representative Jared Golden of Maine
- Representative Vicente Gonzalez Jr. of Texas
- Representative Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington
Republicans voted unanimously in favor.
It is unlikely it will pass in the Senate which holds the Democrat majority.
Joe Biden has already said he would not sign the legislation if it lands on his desk.
Apparently the State of Michigan has jumped on the bandwagon with their scheme to perpetuate voting fraud. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has signed a law, which the New York Post reported that the law will eliminate the board of canvasser’s investigative powers, instead requiring the board to refer any allegations of fraud to the relevant county prosecutor, rather than conducting a recount.

Democrats are doing everything in their power to commit voter fraud because they have no alternative to win by a platform.
