Greenwich Department of Public Works Project Overview:

"To improve air quality, reduce congestion, minimize delay, and improve traffic along the Route 1 corridor and on I-95 in the vicinity of Exit 5, the Town of Greenwich Department of Public Works is installing adaptive signal control technology. This technology will allow the Town to better accommodate peak-hour traffic as well as unforeseen traffic changes due to incidents on I-95. This corridor is part of CTDOT Highway Operations I-95 Diversion Route. Installation would include replacement of cabinets, Audible Pedestrian Signals to meet Federal standards as well as new cameras for vehicle detection."
