The Board of Selectmen had their monthly meeting on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

8. Appointments/Nominations 

Selectwoman Rabin made a motion to nominate Nirmal Patel as a returning regular member (R3) of the Nathaniel Witherell Board of Directors for a term expiring June 30, 2027. It was seconded by Selectperson Stone McGuigan and was approved unanimously.

 Selectwoman Rabin made a motion to nominate Richard Loh as a returning regular member (R3) of the Board of Parks and Recreation for a term expiring June 30, 2027. It was seconded by Selectperson Stone McGuigan and was approved unanimously. 

Selectwoman Rabin made a motion to appoint Cyndy Anderson as a returning regular member of the Selectmen’s Nomination Advisory Committee for a term expiring June 30, 2027. It was seconded by Selectperson Stone McGuigan and was approved unanimously. 

Selectwoman Rabin made a motion to appoint Julie Faryniarz as a new regular member of the Selectmen’s Nomination Advisory Committee for a term expiring June 30, 2027. It was seconded by Selectperson Stone McGuigan and was approved unanimously. 

Selectwoman Rabin made a motion to appoint Karen Royce as a returning regular member of the Selectmen’s Nomination Advisory Committee for a term expiring June 30, 2027. It was seconded by Selectperson Stone McGuigan and was approved unanimously. 

Selectwoman Rabin made a motion to appoint Kathy Smith as a returning regular member of the Selectmen’s Nomination Advisory Committee for a term expiring June 30, 2027. It was seconded by Selectperson Stone McGuigan and was approved unanimously.

Current Greenwich RTC Disguised as Republicans

  Screenshot (Public Domain)    With a major election on the horizon, it's still surprising that establishment Republicans in Greenwich and across the state have not figured out that the walls are closing in on them. Actually, it should not really be a surprise. After all, their only interest is keeping the status quo. In other words, keep vesting them with power and they will do what they do best: "bipartisanship."
