CT GOP: The Party of Enablers

In Connecticut, the Republican Party (CT GOP) appears to be in the business of enabling the Democrat Party in the state. This dynamic has led to frustration among many Republican voters who feel that their party is not effectively representing their interests. The Connecticut GOP's lack of a strong and unified front has allowed the Democrat Party to dominate state politics for years, leading to a one-party system that limits political diversity, hinders progress and is allowed to put forward draconian agendas.

The CT GOP enables the Democrat Party through their inability to field strong candidates in statewide elections. This lack of competitive candidates allows Democrats to win by default, further entrenching their power in the state. Without a strong opposition, the Democrat Party is able to push their agenda unchecked, leading to policies that may not necessarily reflect the views of all Connecticut residents. Many of these Republican candidates will not publicly endorse former President Trump as the Party nominee for President in the upcoming November elections. Rather than ride the “red wave” down ticket, they would prefer to remain staunch establishment RINOs where the name of the game is gaining or regaining power and distancing themselves from the real issues and concerns that Republican voters have. Additionally, the CT GOP is allowing seats to be uncontested. It’s difficult to win any election if you’re not even making an attempt.

Furthermore, the Connecticut GOP's failure to effectively communicate their message to voters has also contributed to the Democrat Party's dominance in state politics. Without a clear and compelling alternative to the Democrat platform, many voters may feel inclined to simply vote for the status quo. In this way, the GOP’s failure to effectively engage with voters only serves to strengthen the Democrat Party's grip on power.

Moreover, the Connecticut GOP's lack of unity and internal strife has also contributed to the Democrat Party’s dominance in the state. Infighting within the party has led to a lack of cohesion and a failure to present a united front to voters. This disorganization only serves to weaken the Republican Party, making it easier for the Democrat Party to maintain control over state politics. The last Greenwich Republican Party caucus is a perfect example of this. Establishment candidates won over the hard working common sense candidates due to the tipping of the scales by the First Selectman, also an establishment politician. The GRTC is now having difficulty fundraising, setting up an election headquarters and motivating members to get out the vote. As you can see, placing power in the wrong hands does nothing good for the voting constituency.

Additionally, the Connecticut GOP’s failure to effectively fundraise and support their candidates has also plays a role in enabling the Democrat Party. Without the financial resources necessary to run robust campaigns, Republican candidates are at a significant disadvantage, making it easier for Democrats to win elections and maintain their power in the state. Democrat candidates have tremendous war chests.

Furthermore, the Connecticut GOP’s failure to effectively engage with diverse communities in the state has also allowed the Democrat Party to maintain their dominance. Without reaching out to a wide range of voters and understanding their concerns, the Republican Party is limiting their potential for growth and success in elections. This lack of inclusivity only serves to strengthen the Democrat Party's hold on power.

In addition, the Connecticut GOP’s failure to effectively challenge the Democrat Party’s policies and hold them accountable for their actions has also contributed to their enablement. Without a strong opposition to push back against the Democrat Party’s agenda, there is little incentive for them to moderate their policies or address the concerns of all Connecticut residents. In this way, the GOP’s lack of effective opposition only serves to strengthen the Democrat Party's power in the state. Complaining and whining on social media or on news outlets serves no purpose. It doesn’t solve the problem but rather frustrates the Republican base even more. The key is establishment Republicans are not looking to solving problems because they lack the willpower to make unpopular decisions that may sway Democrat, Independent and unaffiliated voters away from them. If you’re a Republican candidate, you’re first duty is to represent your base, regardless of how unpopular it may seem.

Moreover, the Connecticut GOP’s failure to effectively mobilize their base and inspire voter turnout has also played a role in enabling the Democrat Party. Without energizing their supporters and turning out the vote in high numbers, Republican candidates are at a disadvantage in elections, making it easier for Democrats to win and maintain their control over state politics.

Furthermore, the Connecticut GOP’s lack of a clear and compelling vision for the future of the state has also contributed to their enablement of the Democrat Party. Without a coherent alternative to the Democrat platform, many voters may feel unsure about supporting Republican candidates, leading to a lack of enthusiasm and low voter turnout. This lack of a strong and inspiring message only serves to strengthen the Democrat Party's hold on power in the state. With Trump at the top of the ticket, this really should be a no brainer. Trump’s message and vision is clear. Republican must take these to heart and not only run on this message but also represent this message loud, clear and publicly.

What is important to understand is by enabling Democrats, Republican candidates are able to run on issues they say are important and that they can solve. These are the same exact issues they themselves have enabled Democrats to push for and legislate.

The CT GOP and their candidates must finally comprehend that “bi-partisanship” only works in one direction – always in favor of Democrats. Often we see Republican elected officials cross over to the Democrat side to pass Democrat legislation. Never see Democrats doing that. They always have the numbers and are unified. Most of the statutes are harmful to everyday citizens, yet these are the very same Republican candidates that want your vote. Why keep supporting and voting for them?

We feel very strongly that establishment Republican candidates need to be retired out of office and America First, common sense candidates be voted in to truly represent Republican values, interests and concerns. Individuals who are simply anti-Trump should really re-examine what they stand for or perhaps they would prefer to switch parties? At least we will know what we have.
