Matthew Corey is a Republican candidate running for the United States Senate in Connecticut in the upcoming November elections. Corey has an impressive background as a business owner and veteran, having served in the United States Navy. He also has experience in the political arena, having previously run for office in Connecticut. Corey's platform is focused on improving the economy, creating jobs, and fighting for the people of Connecticut. His political career began in 2014 when he ran for the US Senate against incumbent Senator Chris Murphy. Although Corey did not win the election, he gained valuable experience and name recognition that would later help him in his future political endeavors.

Corey's platform as a candidate has focused and continues to focus on promoting job growth, reducing government spending, and supporting small businesses. He emphasizes the importance of creating a business-friendly environment in order to stimulate economic growth and create opportunities for all Americans. His business background and experience as a small business owner helped to establish him as a credible candidate who has understood the needs of entrepreneurs and workers in Connecticut.

In 2018, Corey decided to run for the US Senate against incumbent Senator Richard Blumenthal. His campaign focused on issues such as immigration reform, healthcare, and national security. Corey was known for his strong stance on illegal immigration and his support for building a border wall to secure the nation's borders. He also advocated for repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act, arguing that it had led to rising healthcare costs and limited choices for consumers. Corey has been a vocal critic of what he perceives as government overreach and wasteful spending. He has called for greater transparency and accountability in government and has promised to fight for the interests of the American people rather than special interests. Corey's conservative values and commitment to limited government have resonated with many voters in Connecticut who are looking for a change in Washington.

Corey's background in the military gives him a unique perspective on the issues facing our country, particularly in terms of national security and foreign policy.  Corey served in the United States Navy. Corey's combination of military experience and business acumen makes him a strong America First candidate for the Senate. His military career includes multiple deployments to combat zones. According to campaign website bio page, "He was deployed to Beirut in 1983 and served in the Navy until 1987, receiving an Honorable Discharge." This experience gives him a unique perspective on issues of national security and foreign policy, both of which are key areas of focus for a US Senator, including firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by military personnel and the impact of US foreign policy decisions. As a candidate, Corey has outlined several key policy proposals that he believes will benefit the people of Connecticut. These include lowering taxes, reducing government regulations, and strengthening the economy through job creation. Corey also supports efforts to improve infrastructure, invest in education, and protect our environment.

Corey is an America First conservative Republican who believes in limited government, individual freedom, and free-market principles. He has been critical of liberal policies that he believes have stifled economic growth and hindered job creation. Corey's positions on a variety of issues reflect his commitment to conservative values and his belief in the importance of personal responsibility and self-reliance. Corey publicly supports former President Trump and his America First agenda.

Corey's campaign for the Senate has received support from a variety of individuals and organizations, including fellow Republicans and conservative groups. He has been endorsed by several prominent Republicans, as well as by organizations such as the National Rifle Association and the Family Institute of Connecticut. Corey's support among these groups indicates that he is viewed as a strong conservative candidate who is committed to advancing principled conservative values and priorities.

In addition to his policy proposals and endorsements, Corey's campaign has also focused on engaging with voters and building grassroots support. He has attended numerous events and town hall meetings throughout Connecticut, where he has listened to voters' concerns and shared his vision for the state. Corey's willingness to engage with voters directly demonstrates his commitment to representing their interests and being accessible to the people he hopes to serve.

Corey recently won his primary race on August 13, 2024, against Connecticut GOP endorsed candidate Gerry Smith. If elected in the November 5th general election, Corey has the potential to be a powerful voice for true conservative values and a force for positive change in Connecticut and in our country.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Matt for his military service.
