It is a day to honor the principles of liberty, democracy, and independence that are so deeply ingrained in the American identity. The Declaration of Independence, penned by Thomas Jefferson, proclaimed that all men are created equal and endowed with rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Democrats "Own" the Bureaucrats at the DOJ

Image
Screenshot (Public Domain) The Department of Justice (DOJ) was created and has been tasked with upholding the laws of the United States and ensuring justice is served. The current head of the DOJ is Merrick Garland, appointed by Joe Biden and confirmed by the Senate. He is the Chief law enforcement officer in the country. Previously Garland had been nominated and for Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court but was eventually unconfirmed. Garland's relationship with Congress has also been a source of contention. Critics argue that he has not been transparent or forthcoming in his interactions with lawmakers, leading to a lack of trust and cooperation. This has further hindered Garland's ability to effectively address key issues and fulfill his duties as Attorney General. However, in recent years, there has been growing concern about the weaponization of the DOJ for political purposes. This weaponization occurs when the DOJ, FBI and other alphabet agencies are used as a tool to t

HUSKY Health Coverage's Expansion to Cover Children of Illegal Aliens 15 or Younger in Connecticut

Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont As if it weren't enough that food prices are soaring along with inflation, rising gas prices, rising vehicle and property taxes, income taxes and Connecticut already being a sanctuary state, we now have Connecticut spending more of our tax dollars on funding healthcare for the children of illegal aliens. To be clear, WE, the taxpayers, are funding this.  The state can ill-afford doling out more taxpayer funds for those individuals who enter and remain in the country illegally in the first place.  Many Connecticut residents are often unable to get their medications because of soaring prescription costs. Healthcare insurance costs continue to rise. For some people, sometimes is a matter of paying bills over getting necessary treatment and medications because of high costs and salaries not keeping up. This is the Democrat agenda. Prioritizing future Democrat voters over hard-working Americans. Former President Donald Trump has made closing the souther

The Importance of the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution

Image
Screenshot (Public Domain) In today's political environment, Americans should be aware of the importance of the Second Amendment to the Constitution and why it needs to be defended. History: The history of the Second Amendment can be traced back to the English Bill of Rights of 1689, which guaranteed the right of Protestants to bear arms for self-defense. This legal precedent played a significant role in shaping the American colonists' views on the right to bear arms, as they viewed the ability to defend themselves against perceived threats, whether from individuals or the government, as a fundamental right. During the drafting of the Bill of Rights in 1789, there was some disagreement over whether an explicit right to bear arms should be included. Some framers of the Constitution, such as Thomas Jefferson, believed that individual citizens had a natural right to bear arms to defend themselves and their property. Others, including James Madison, argued that the state militi

SCOTUS Victory For Former President Donald J. Trump

Screenshot (Public Domain) Trump v. United States "In a historic decision, a divided Supreme Court on Monday ruled that former presidents can never be prosecuted for actions relating to the core powers of their office, and that there is at least a presumption that they have immunity for their official acts more broadly. The decision left open the possibility that the charges brought against former President Donald Trump by Special Counsel Jack Smith – alleging that Trump conspired to overturn the results of the 2020 election – can still go forward to the extent that the charges are based on his private conduct, rather than his official acts."
