Traditional Family Values: Children Deserve to be Children

Image
Screenshot (Public Domain) Children are inherently curious, playful, and imaginative beings. They possess a sense of wonder and innocence that often gets lost as they grow older. It is crucial to allow children to be children and nurture these qualities as they are essential for their overall development and well-being. Allowing children be children allows them to enjoy their childhood to the fullest. Childhood is a time for exploration, discovery, and fun. Through play, children learn important social, emotional, and cognitive skills that will benefit them later in life. By encouraging play and creativity, we are fostering a sense of joy and wonder in children that will stay with them throughout their lives. Furthermore, it allows children to develop at their own pace. Every child is unique and will reach milestones at different times. Pressuring children to grow up too quickly or meet certain expectations can be detrimental to their mental health and self-esteem. By providing a

Greenwich First Selectman Throws a Tantrum Over FOIA Requests

Image
Screenshot (Public Domain) By now many of you have read or aware of that Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo (R) had threatened to publicly call out, we mean publicly disclose everyone who submits Freedom of Information Requests (FOIA). Apparently, Camillo has followed with his promise, which is included in the latest edition of Community Connections from Fred. In his update, Camillo decides to publicly throw a tantrum by mentioning that many of these requests are "partisan political requests." Also included is a list of individuals and organizations who have submitted requests and what they are looking for. Regardless of individual, organization, the number of such requests or the reason for the request, all should be honored according to the law and state statutes. As a Republican, Camillo should be very aware that the Republican Party is the party of "law and order." Camillo's job, whether he likes it or not, is to abide by those laws and serve the publi

Stop Rewarding Illegal Aliens!

Image
Screenshot (Public Domain) Under the Biden-Harris administration, illegal aliens have been allowed to enter the United States via the southern border and welcomed with open arms because the administration, via DHS, is making no attempt to halt illegal border crossings and tying the hands of Border Patrol agents who have been asking to close the border and have more resources deployed. While Democrats continue to downplay the literal invasion of the country by continually lying that the number of illegal aliens entering the United States has declined under Biden-Harris, statistics and the change in demographics prove otherwise. Illegal aliens should not be rewarded for entering the US illegally. Rewarding illegal behavior only encourages more people to break the law and enter the country without going through the proper channels. In fact, entering the country illegally is a felony. By simply crossing the border and not going through a properly established entry, a crime has been com

Board of Selectmen Meeting, August 27, 2024

Image
Screenshot (Public Domain) The Board of Selectman recently held their meeting on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Of importance: 7. d. New Business: Request for support of renewal of the Westchester County Airline Terminal Use Agreements. Town resident John Mastracchio, a member of the inter-municipal task force working on the agreement, spoke before the Board and said any discussion about the airport can “easily go down a rabbit hole.” Boiling it down to its simplest form, Mastracchio said the terminal use agreements only allows for 240 passengers per half hour to go through the terminal. He said it is a grandfathered rule that he believed only existed at this airport and if Greenwich ever lost it, it would not be able to get it back due to federal regulations. Mastracchio said Westchester County wants to extend the agreement for another 20 years. He explained the task force was created to voice approval for that from the municipalities that are impacted by the airport and he sai

CT GOP: The Party of Enablers

Image
Screenshot (Public Domain) In Connecticut, the Republican Party (CT GOP) appears to be in the business of enabling the Democrat Party in the state. This dynamic has led to frustration among many Republican voters who feel that their party is not effectively representing their interests. The Connecticut GOP's lack of a strong and unified front has allowed the Democrat Party to dominate state politics for years, leading to a one-party system that limits political diversity, hinders progress and is allowed to put forward draconian agendas. The CT GOP enables the Democrat Party through their inability to field strong candidates in statewide elections. This lack of competitive candidates allows Democrats to win by default, further entrenching their power in the state. Without a strong opposition, the Democrat Party is able to push their agenda unchecked, leading to policies that may not necessarily reflect the views of all Connecticut residents. Many of these Republican candidates w

Zuckerberg Admits Collusion with Government: Start Prosecuting All Involved

Image
Screenshot (Public Domain) Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently admitted in a letter dated August 26, 2024, to Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan (R), Chairman of the Oversight and Accountability Committee, that the social media platform does engage in censorship. In fact, he admits that the Biden-Harris Administration pressured Facebook to censor facts such as the Covid-19 Vaccinations, Hunter Biden laptop and what the Biden administration did not want Americans to know so they could keep control of the narrative. This admission raises important questions about the role of Facebook in shaping public discourse and the limits of free speech on the internet. In his letter, Zuckerberg acknowledged that Facebook does remove content that violates its “Community Standards,” and that these standards are enforced by content moderators. This revelation is significant because it contradicts Facebook's longstanding assertion in sworn testimony in Congressional hearings, that it is a n

More and More Democrat Voters Joining the Trump Camp

Image
Screenshot (Public Domain) The upcoming November 2024 presidential election has caused a stir among political commentators and strategists. One particular trend that has caught the attention of many, including the Democrat Party and the Republican establishment, is the increasing number of Democrats who are showing support for former President Donald Trump. While Trump is a Republican, his appeal among some Democrats is a fascinating development that could have significant implications for the upcoming election. One possible explanation for why some Democrats are supporting Trump for the 2024 election is his authenticity. Trump's blunt and unfiltered communication style is seen by some as a refreshing change from the polished and often scripted politicians that typically dominate the political landscape. In a time when many voters are weary of politicians who seem disconnected from the average American, Trump's willingness to speak his mind, even if it offends some, may be

As a prominent environmental activist and lawyer, RFK Jr. brings a wealth of experience and credibility to the Trump administration. Niemynski: Connecticut's Electric Rate Crisis: A Call for Action

Image
Screenshot (corporateofficeheadquarters.org) Submitted by Kristy Niemynski, Greenwich Resident Connecticut ratepayers—millions of residents, retirees, and small businesses—are reeling from skyrocketing electricity bills, often as high as a car or rent payment. At the heart of this issue lies the now more apparent "Public Benefits" charge on your bill. This is a tax, no matter what anyone else attempts to call it. For most reasonable people, this is the final straw in a state already burdened with one of the highest costs of living. Decades of progressive Democrat policies have led us here, and the public has had enough. They want this crisis addressed now. As a consumer and electric ratepayer, so do I. Moratorium Madness: I've heard from hundreds of constituents, and their outrage is palpable, particularly because of Governor Lamont's four-year moratorium on electricity shutoffs for delinquent payments. This policy is absurd and contributes significantly to th
